OUR HOMES

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A CUSTOM TINY HOME?

Here at LIBERATION TINY HOMES, we believe that your tiny home should be unique and special... just like you!

While other builders offer model homes and cookie cutter solutions, we think that your home should be built JUST FOR YOU! And it should be functional and beautiful for how you want to use it. Our team loves working directly with you to customize everything from the size, the floor-plan and the materials that we use.

Our expert team will guide you through the entire process from start to finish and take your ideas and turn them into the tiny house that you've been dreaming about.

Shown below are examples of previous homes that we have built, specifically for past clients. We can replicate any of these homes or use them as an inspiration for your custom tiny home.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?

  • Our Craftsman style homes are typically defined by natural materials and feature more exterior and interior details. This includes an added focus on trim work and wainscoting throughout the home, which can really elevate the space to feel more unique and full of character.

  • Built-in furniture and light fixtures: Built-ins were the hallmark feature of the Arts and Crafts era. Built-in cabinets allowed the furnishings to be part of the architecture, ensuring design unity and economic use of space. Even the light fixtures are often part of the design.

  • Fireplaces: A fireplace was the symbol of family in the Arts and Crafts movement and a fireplace can make the perfect focal point of the home.

  • Porches: Most homes in the Craftsman style have porches with square or round columns and porch supports.

  • Low-pitched roofs: The homes typically have a low roof with wide eaves and additional exterior detailing.

  • Exposed beams. The beams on the porch and inside the house are often exposed and can be painted or stained.

  • Open floor plan: The Arts and Crafts Movement rejected the small, boxy rooms like those in older Victorian houses.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?

  • Our Gooseneck style home is the largest size that we offer. This home is typically in the 32' - 40' length range and can be either 8.5' or 10' wide.

  • One of the defining features is the "Gooseneck Hitch" at the front of the trailer which provides a different way to tow compared to a standard "Bumper Pull" trailer. A gooseneck hitch allows for better weight distribution and turning radius with a larger home (that can weigh up to 20,000 lbs or more).

  • The Gooseneck length factors in the total length of the trailer (Example: A 40' home would be a 32' flat deck + an 8' gooseneck deck, which would total 40' in overall length.

  • This size and floor-plan allows for great flexibility with your tiny house. Often times we will include the primary bedroom in the gooseneck space which allows for full standing room height (no crawling into a loft!). This space can also be used for a living room or other options as well and is typically accessed by three or four comfortable stairs from the main floor.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?

  • Our Farmhouse style is our most popular design and is an aesthetic that is timeless to the area that we call home. Lancaster County, PA is known for rich farmland and beautiful farmhouse style homes that are home to the Amish and some of the countries best produce and livestock farms. Many of our team members are either Amish or still have Amish relatives.

  • Signature Features: Exposed wood beams, reclaimed wood, apron front sink and other natural materials that are timeless and beautiful.

  • This home typically features a gable roof with dormers which looks more like a traditional home, compared to a shed style roof that the modern style typically includes.

  • The farmhouse style is a timeless classic and a style that we truly love building.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?

  • Our Modern style homes are typically defined by a shed style roof (high on one side with a simple slope to the lower side). This provides clean lines and maximum interior height.

  • Clean Lines and modern finishes work well with this style of design and we will often incorporate larger windows and even a glass garage door to embrace the modern aesthetic and take advantage of the unique lines of this style home.

  • Open floor-plan - The modern is typically more open to take advantage of sight lines and large windows - all of which make the home feel larger than it actually is.

  • Other features to consider are LED accent lighting, custom showers and unique modern materials that can especially appeal to short term renters who are looking for a unique tiny house experience.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?

  • 'Rumspringa' - This is a term that is unique to our Amish heritage in Lancaster County, PA and we wanted our entry level and most affordable home to have a memorable name. 'Rumspringa' is the time where an Amish teenager can choose to explore the outside world before going the church - it can be a time of liberation for a lot of people and that is one of our founding principles and our namesake as well.

  • Our 'Rumspringa' model is our least customizable home but it features a floor-plan that takes advantage of every square foot available.

  • This home starts at 20' in length and can be scaled up to 32' if needed. We can include a first floor bedroom, a larger bathroom and even two lofts as well on the larger "Rumspringa' homes.

  • The price point of this home is achieved with limited changes to the design of the home, which allows us to build it efficiently and quickly.

  • This home is also offered in a modern style, with a shed style roof and other modern finishes if you prefer.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE?

  • We have several 'Shell' options available, including a STAGE 1, STAGE 2, and STAGE 3 - all of which are customizable.

  • This is a great option if you would like to build your own tiny house but you aren't quite comfortable starting from the ground up.

  • We offer anything from framing to a fully finished exterior with all utility rough-ins completed on the inside.

  • Our different stage shells all have "a la carte" options where we can add different items so that it is in the perfect stage for you to take over and finish your dream tiny home.

  • One benefit of a shell project is that it often includes a shorter lead time than a fully finished home.
