Financing

Options to fund your tiny home can be limited. LightStream offers a way to do so! As more options become available, we will update this page. 

Deposit

 

A deposit in the amount of $2500 will place your name on our building schedule. The deposit will be partially refundable ($1000) if we have not yet started the design or construction of the project. If design work has begun or if it is within 60 days of the agreed upon construction date, the deposit will not be refunded.

The deposit will be applied to the total cost of the project. 

As of now, our schedule is booked until the Fall of 2020. Just because we are booked does not mean that we don't take appointments. Going tiny is a long process that can take up to 6 months due to all of the logistics between the client and us, the builder.

Design & Payment

 
After your deposit is placed, we schedule a design meeting 6-8 weeks before the project start date. 
What should I have prepared for this meeting?
  • Quote - we ask that you fill out our detailed quote form. Our team will work with you to prep an outline of costs before the design meeting. 
  • Floorplan - have a game plan of how you want your home to look like
  • Exterior/Interior Products - finalize the materials that you wish to use. 
  • 1st Payment - have 30% of the funds secured and ready to go. 
What will happen after the design meeting?
  • Contract - our team will provide an outline of payment details and the fine print.
  • 2nd Payment - 30% will be due at the start of the project.
  • 3rd Payment - 30% will be due when exterior shell is completed.
  • 4th and Final Payment - 10% will be due at end of project. 

Shipping & Parking

 
We offer a great way to have your tiny home shipped after it is built and anytime you wish to move your home in the future! 
One Call Logistics
Tiny house parking is the biggest and most important obstacle for many. While there is parking located in tiny house communities across the USA, many are not able to move to a new state, etc. If you wish to park your tiny house permanently, please contact your local zoning officer, township, or county to get more information. The industry will eventually catch up as many are pushing for tiny house legality both nationally and locally. 
The easiest way to approach legal avenues is to have your home certified as an RV. We do this with an outside company called Pacific West Associates. This will allow for more parking opportunities such as campgrounds and RV parks.
