What does this mean for your wallet?
This home was built for clients who are renovating their foundation home. They will be living in this home while the home is under construction. They had several specific requests that we were able to integrate into the home. They wished to have a waterless (or composting) toilet that allowed them freedom from having to plug into a septic system. Since they have other plans after they move back into their other home, they wanted the home plumbed so that they could swap out the toilet for a flushing one.
The clients wish to eventually have the home setup as a guest house and will begin to recoup their investment that way. Since the Airbnb market for tiny homes is a hot one, they wanted to capitalize on the opportunity to create a secondary income. Depending on how they setup their rental, it could be completely passive. We have rented out tiny homes as personal investments and have made as much as a 15-20% percent return in one year. Some homes have seen higher returns in the 25-30% range.
Most of America lives paycheck to paycheck. The numbers are astounding. Many could only dream of a way to make a passive income. One could potentially purchase a home with financing and have the income pay for the loan and pocket the rest.
It's all about options.
