THE BUILD PROCESS

GETTING STARTED
WITH A TINY HOME FROM LIBERATION
DEPOSIT

A deposit in the amount of $2500 will place your name on our production schedule and is the first official step in working together.

The deposit will be partially refundable ($1,000) if we have not yet started the design or construction of the project. If design work has begun or if it is within 90 days of the agreed-upon construction date, the entire deposit will be non-refundable.

Otherwise, the entire $2,500 deposit will be credited to the total cost of the project.

DESIGN FORM

We have designed a custom process and design form to walk you through the design of your tiny house. It outlines all of the choices that go into creating your tiny home and we will guide you through the process from start to finish.

Designing a custom tiny home takes a lot of time and can seem overwhelming at times. As a custom builder, our goal is to make it as easy and stress-free as possible for you and to build a tiny home that exceeds your expectations. We are able to work through the design either in person or through a zoom call, depending on your location, availability and preferences.

CONTRACT

After your deposit is submitted and we work through the estimate and general design of your home, it is time to sign the contract and make it official!

Our contract can be signed electronically (or in-person) and will ensure that we are all on the same page moving forward.

And now... the fun part starts! We are almost ready to start construction on your tiny home!

This is when the first 30% payment is due.

3D DESIGN

After we have the general details finalized, we send that info to our in-house designer who turns it into a 3D rendering with a program called SketchUp.

This will allow you to see your house as a 3D model and walk around it! This is the step where your vision and years of ideas finally start to become real. This meeting can be done in person or through a zoom call.

During this process, you will have the chance to make any revisions needed, until you're happy with the overall design.

THE BUILD & PAYMENT PROCESS
HOW YOUR TINY HOME COMES TOGETHER
FRAMING

After we receive your custom, locally made trailer, we begin to frame your home. We take the 3D design, send it to our framing team, and they create a solid foundation for your tiny home.

This is when your second payment of 30% is due.

EXTERIOR

When the home is framed, sheathed, and wrapped with the vapor barrier, the next step is the exterior finishes.

During this stage, your home will see it's siding, windows, roofing, and front door installed. The home is finally taking shape and starting to look like a real home!

The third payment of 30% is due when the exterior is completed.

INTERIOR

Before this stage begins, the home is transferred to the other side of our shop. The painting, cabinetry, built-ins, flooring, and other interior details are all completed.

After your tiny home is finished, we require the final payment of 10% (or the balance of the invoice) to be paid before the home is delivered.

THE LOGISTICS
THE SMALL BUT IMPORTANT DETAILS
DELIVERY

We have partnered with One Call Logistics, a tiny house delivery company to provide professional transportation for your tiny home. From our production facility here in Leola, PA, One Call Logistics can deliver your tiny home anywhere in the U.S. and even to Canada.

They are also a great resource in case you ever wish to move your tiny home in the future, and the cost is usually between $4 -$5 per mile for delivery.

PARKING
Tiny house parking is a big obstacle for many and is often the most difficult part of realizing your tiny house dream.

A simple way to approach legal avenues is to have your home certified as an RV and this can help in certain situations.

We do this with a third-party company called Pacific West Associates. This will allow for more parking opportunities such as campgrounds and RV parks, although you will still need to check with the individual park for acceptance.
INSURANCE

Your tiny home can (and should) be insured from the day that it leaves our shop. This is different, but similar to homeowners insurance on a traditional home. Whether it is just your personal belongings or the entire home and liability coverage, you can feel safe & secure knowing that you're covered.

We recommend two different companies to consider, as a traditional insurer might not cover your tiny home.
